Overall
Lia McSweeney attends Cambridge High School, class of 2022, and achieved a 4.0 GPA Freshman and Sophomore year. She is a part of the computer science pathway and has/is taking 6 AP classes. Junior year, she is taking AP Chemistry, AP Computer Science A, AP Calculus BC, and Dual Enrollment English 1102. Sophomore year, she took AP Computer Science Principles and AP American Literature. Through her freshman year, she took the only AP class available to freshman, AP Government. Currently, as a junior, Lia is taking 3 AP classes and a duel enrollment class. She is also taking US history and Introduction to Business. She is an officer in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) where she is the treasurer for the club. During her sophomore year, Lia competed in FBLA with her Social Media Campaign. Lia and her friends placed 1st during the FBLA regional competition and qualified for State. At State, Lia and her friends placed 6th for FBLA. The year after, Lia and her friends competed in Sales Presentation at FBLA regions and places 2nd and qualified for State. At state, they placed 3rd and qualified for nationals. In addition, she is a part of BETA club where she participates in community service hours to help others. Finally, she participates in Bear Ambassadors which is a club to show new students around the school. In middle school, she showed her love of music by playing cello throughout her middle school years.
